Diamonds can be incorporated into your memorial jewellery with the ash/hair hidden underneath. It is not an option to have the ash/ hair visible with a diamond. Opt for the white topaz gem if you are wanting the ash/hair visible.

Man made diamonds are made in a laboratory using heat and pressure replicating how a natural diamond is formed in the earth. They have the same brilliance (sparkle) as a natural diamond. The ionic structure of man made diamonds is identical to natural diamonds making it the hardest known substance (10 on the hardness scale). These man made diamonds are  'D' colour which is the most sought after white colour in natural diamonds . This is a good option if you would like a diamond and all its beautiful and scientific properties but without the huge environmental impact.

Natural diamonds have a huge environmental impact. The large scale mining operation is associated with land clearance, deforestation, habitat destruction and human rights concerns. The carbon emissions are also very significant.
