Part 1.1 Wirework - Linked Necklace/ Bracelet
In this session you will make a linked necklace or bracelet from 1mm wire. You can make any shape link and repeat this shape or have irregular links to make your necklace. Each link will be cut, shaped and soldered individually ( this will be good soldering practise). You will also make a toggle clasp from clasp.
You will be given a length of 1mm round wire to make your necklace or bracelet and jump rings if required.
Home Work :
The ever popular heart. From a piece of copper given to you. Cut out either 1 heart which could be worn as a pendant or 2 identical hearts which can be work as earrings. Use your piercing saw to cut the shape and file and sand the edges. Don't worry about holes or attachments. You will enamel these pieces in the enamelling session. This is important saw piercing practise which is essential in jewellery making.
